Thomas H. Fairbanks
Tom is a man with extensive experience in the development and operation of businesses, real estate investment and personal development. He is a continual student in human behavior and participated in the Development of a personal and professional development-training program used to educate clients and incubated companies.
He has been a Consultant to several clients on the purchase and start-up of businesses, operation management utilizing profitability indexes, market and lease analyses along with property and business valuations. He became specialized in complex and non-conforming valuations, business plan development and the implementation of IT technologies.
He was responsible for the development and operation of several Business Service Centers in Washington State. He also specialized in providing business support and administrative services to SOHO enterprises with a major emphasis on Customer Service. He established an Owners Association governing the affairs of related business activities and supervised the day-to-day operation, along with the acquisition and development of additional sites. This is the project in which the concepts and definition of “Supplyline Economics” and “Collaborative Business Systems” were initially developed.
Having witnessed firsthand the abuses of ethical violations in business Tom became an active proponent of fair play and community advocacy. These efforts lead to the formulating of the “Principles of Good Business.”
His wife, Shauna, presented Tom with a certificate of achievement for Christmas many years ago acknowledging that he was successfully completing an Advanced Ongoing Course in the Field of Life. This was the impetus to the creation of the School of Hard Knocks.
